Sketched on location in Liverpool on a miserable early November day. As well as looking for an inspiring subject I was also looking for shelter from the impending rain. I found a suitably large canopy in one of the lovely backstreets of the Georgian Quarter and a great subject in Artefact cafe. Despite the dreary weather I enjoyed making this sketch very much and was entertained by the lively sounds of a street football game going on just out of my vision and was warmed up with the gift of a steaming hot coffee just as my fingers started to seize up!
